Monday's Snapshot...On a Tuesday

Whoops! Totally missed the fact that yesterday was Monday. So here's this week's snapshot.

Since I'm the photog in the family, no one's ever taking pics of me and the kid. They all end up being selfies, which means Z is either looking off camera, eating my hair, or reaching for the camera/iPhone. But this one is a keeper, and the fingerprint smear over the lens makes it even better!

Monday's Snapshot

Baby Tuna's love for Monkey (that finger puppet I've told you guys about) is pure and true. He goes with her everywhere and he makes an appearance in most photos. This week's snapshot is one of my favorite non-birthday shots from this past week.

We heard her babbling in the monitor one morning and turned on the viewer to
see this amazing sight:

She and Monkey (that white blob she's holding in front of her) were chatting up a storm. It went on for quite some time. I just wonder what the heck they were talking about!

Monday's Snapshot

Hey folks! It's week #2 of Monday's Snapshot and I've actually chosen a still from a video I took this past week.

I had another snapshot picked out for today...and then this happened on Saturday. Z had been pushing Monkey around in the toy basket while "walking" on her knees for a few minutes. Suddenly it dawned on me - she had moved to her feet and she was walking - for real! Since Saturday, she's only done this one more time, pushing her highchair a few feet in the dining room. I know it's inevitable that Baby Tuna will walk. I just would like her to wait a wee bit longer. I'm not ready to have a full-fledged toddler on my hands. Until then, she's still our baby girl!

Monday's Snapshot

"Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory."
- Dr. Seuss

I thought I'd try a little something similar to what I saw a while back on another blog (I just wish i could remember which one!).  One snapshot from the last seven days. One moment in time. I'm hoping I can stick with this, because I love the idea. This week it was hard to pick a favorite, so I left it up to the Hubs. I think he chose wisely.

Oh gosh, these two! This was taken before 7am, I'm sure. And notice Z has her monkey in hand. These days, she's rarely without him.
