Beckett is Five Months Old

Ok. So I'm a wee bit behind. I've had this post pretty much ready to go for ages (Beck hit the 5 month mark 2 weeks ago!), but never had a chance to get the photos edited. So here's all of the info as of two weeks ago. It's crazy, but so much has already changed, just in that short amount of time.

Five Month Stats

 abt 19 lbs | 26.5 in

wearing 6 month clothes with a few 9 month items in there too & size 3 diapers

[Just for a little comparison, I went back & looked at Zoey's 5 month stats...she weighed 14lbs and was still in size 1 diapers. Crazy how different they are!]

Major Milestones

I can roll from my back to my belly, but not the other way around...yet.

Day trip along the Colonial Parkway to see the changing leaves. I slept just about the whole time, but I hear it was great!

Friday Five - Cozy Style

Happy Friday, friends! We've finally gotten a few shots of cool weather up here, the leaves are changing, and even though tomorrow will be in the 70's, most of the week after will be in the 50's. So all of that calls for some serious coziness as you relax by the fire with a cup of chili or a mug of cocoa and the latest season of the Mindy Project (or Doc McStuffins, depending on your lifestyle choices.). 

So, my Friday Five this week is all about the coziness. And, you guys, that crewneck is something you will seriously love this fall/winter. I've had mine for a week and I'm already living in it. So so soft!

Now, I'm usually one of those who insists on waiting until the day after Thanksgiving to even think about Christmas, but the ABC Family (or Freeform. Whatever.) 25 Days of Christmas schedule is out and it's awesome, as usual. I don't know if it's the new baby, or the fact that Zoey is at the right age to make it extra fun, or the fact that the world has been a little crappy lately, but I'm so jazzed for the Christmas season! Can't wait to decorate and get things started. Z and I may or may not have plans to bake a batch of Christmas cookies this weekend and it's all I can do to not take down Fall and bust out the Christmas decor. Anyone else feeling the holiday spirit?!

Beckett is Four Months Old

Four months! I will probably say this every month until he turns 18, but I just can't believe the time is flying by so fast! Beck has grown sooo much in the last month, it's really crazy! He's already wearing size 3 diapers (more for volume than size, if I'm honest-Zoey was still in 1's at 4 months, btw) and I feel like he's constantly eating. Typical boy! And even though we're in bit of a fussy period right now, he's still the happiest, smiliest baby on the block & will actually move out of a fuss, into a sly sideways grin, & back into a fuss, like he forgot he was cranky for a second in the middle there.

Four Month Stats

18lb 7oz (95%) | 25.6 in (75%)

I can't remember the exact measurement of his head, but I do recall that the nurse said it was in the 98th %! #bobblehead
Mostly 3-6 month clothes with a few 6 months stuff thrown in.

I drool 24/7. Unless I'm spitting up. 

I can grab & hold onto toys and bring them to my mouth to chew, shake 'em, or toss them around.

I like to sleep on my side & can rotate 180 degrees in my crib at night. 

The jumperoo is my favorite place to hang out these days.

My chubby cheeks are super ticklish.

Tummy time is the worst. After a few minutes, I like to just smoosh my face into the floor until Mommy rolls me over & picks me up.

I really like to sit up, especially in the bumbo.
I'm so close to rolling over, but my silly arm keeps getting in my way.
Despite my weight, I'm no Michelin man, but I do have some serious thunder thighs.
I'm huge flirt. Hey. The ladies love me, what can I say?!
